Short Details of the story
Set in the splendid city of Rio de Janeiro and the abundant rainforest of Brazil, the comedy-adventure centers on Blu, a unusual macaw who thinks he is the very last of his breed. When Blu discovers there's another — and that she's a she — he leaves the comforts of his confinement in little town Minnesota and heads to Rio. But it's distant from love at first sight between the domesticated and flight-challenged Blu and the ferociously independent, high-flying female, Jewel.

Surprisingly thrown together, they go aboard on an escapade of a lifetime, where they find out about friendship, love, courage, and being open to life's numerous wonders. "Rio" brings jointly a menagerie of vibrant characters, a heart-warming story, rich colorful backdrops, revitalizing Latin and fashionable music, and family-friendly song and dance.
